Sunday blues #OOTD

So today is my lovely mums birthday! After an up and down weekend this morning was finally the time to get back on my feet and get ready for the day ahead! After waking up and setting out all mums presents downstairs ready for when she arrived, I had the job of finding something to wear that looked smart but still felt casual as I was about to be top chef today and cook her a birthday meal! Sundays are always strange days, some sundays I don't even want to get out of my pjs unless I really have too! Today felt different, I had something to get up and get myself ready for instead of the usual 'its Sunday I must find something to do' kinda feeling. What outfit did I choose? Before I had to rush out to pick up some food to cook I managed to take a few photos.. Apologies for the poor camera shots!…

 Without the pale blue jumper…

So… where is my outfit from & how much does it cost?

1.  White Blouse - PRIMARK - £9.00 (necklace comes seperate)

2. Fashion Necklace - PRIMARK - £4.00

3. Black Skinny Jeans - PRIMARK - £7.00

4. Pale Blue Knitted Jumper - PRIMARK - £8.00

5. Black Ankle Boots - SELECT - £25.00

Why did I choose this outfit?
I loved wearing this today because it is so so comfy. The jumper is so nice and cosy and now that the winter is creeping around the corner I think it will be great for those cold months. I popped a simple white blouse underneath too add to the design of the jumper as I love to see the collar and cuffs out… This is something inspired from outfits Lucy Watson has worn on Made in Chelsea. Black skinny jeans, an essential to every girls wardrobe! They can be dressed up or down and so are just a vital piece to own. I paired my outfit with the little ankle boots as they too are also so comfy, and I guessed the gold detailing of the buckles would match my fashion necklace :)
After getting dressed I nipped to the shops to gather what I needed then headed home and cooked mum a lovely Sunday roast which was enjoyed by all!

I hope you have all had a lovely Sunday! Another working week ahead but hey ho not long till Christmas, keep smiling!

The futures bright, the futures orange! #ootn

So this weekend just gone I travelled to Burnley for one of my boyfriend's DJ events. As usual planning up to this event was stressful as I never know what to wear for a night out these days as most clothes now I find you have to be size 6 to fit in them and look good… In my case this cannot happen! I needed an outfit on a budget, and having shopped around for a few weeks Primark became my saviour once again, and saved the day (or night even).

Heres a few pictures of the clothes I managed to find, and how I put them together to create my OOTN.

Where to buy...
1. Orange Cami Top - PRIMARK - £4.00
2. Black Scalloped Edge Shorts with Cut Out Detail- PRIMARK - £10.00
3. Fashion Statement Necklace: Black&Gold - PRIMARK - £2.00 (Sale)
*link to the shoes only shows the shoes in black as cannot find the orange ones online, but sure they will be available in your local store*

I absolutely love this outfit, and the whole thing cost just £27.00! Heres a few more photos of the items that I chose to wear...

1. Orange Cami Top - PRIMARK - £4.00

Everyone loves a cami, and at £4.00 you just can't go wrong! Primark have these in all different colours. I chose this bright orange colour as I thought it would stand out against my choice of black shorts. These tops are also helpful for dressing up or down, whatever the occasion. Apologises for the creases, I have too many clothes in my closet and they get squashed!

2. Black Scalloped Edge Shorts with Cut Out DetailPRIMARK - £10.00

These shorts are my favourite! I love anything thats black, and the scalloped edge detail makes them more pretty… but with the added cut out detailing - they just make the perfect short! These shorts can be dressed up or dressed down with a t-shirt for a more casual look.

    3. Fashion Statement Necklace: Black&Gold - PRIMARK - £2.00 (Sale)

What need I say, I have so many different statement necklaces at home, and I think all the different ones out at the minute just make an outfit stand out.

I originally planned on wearing some black heels with a gold bar across them to bring out the black and gold in my chosen necklace, but after wandering around New Look I came across these amazing platform shoes! I was scared at first that I wouldn't be able to walk in them, but having the platform on them really helped and I was fine! For £11.00 I was so so happy, and they matched my cami vest top perfectly! These shoes also have the cut out detail, and once on the foot they are so so comfy and look really nice!

So theres my bargain outfit for last weekend… What do you all think? I really liked it and felt really comfy out wearing it as the cami and the shorts are both quite floaty when on :)

*apologises for the lighting, no filters used on any photos taken… this photo on the left is bright from the hotel room light, and obviously the one on the right is darker due to being outside at night time*

Have you dropped on any bargains just lately?

A little snippet of today!

So this post is a little different, it is a little snippet of pictures and a few words to sum up my day.
After doing some work this morning I decided to have a wander into town. Heres some photos of my OOTD…

Kimono- PRIMARK - £13.00
Statement Necklace- PRIMARK - £3.00
White Vest Top- PRIMARK - £1.50
Indigo Ultra Soft Jean- MISS SELFRIDGE - £36.00
Glittery Jelly Shoes- PRIMARK - £4.00

I chose this outfit as it is just a nice, comfy and casual outfit to go out in the day in.
Once I popped into town I didn't have long as I had to be somewhere else so I darted to two shops that I knew wouldn't fail me. Heres what I got…

Gingham Skinny Jeans- PRIMARK - £13.00 each
Light Pink Mini Structured Tote Bag- River Island - £30.00

When I reached PRIMARK I casually walked through having a little nose… Then all of a sudden these beautiful items caught my eye! For so long I had been wanting some checkered skinny jeans, & I had seen some at Topshop a while ago but I always put them down due to the price tag! Basically the ones I had wanted for some long were the Gingham check & were £38 a pair (they come in different colours) and I just couldn't justify spending £76 on two pairs of jeans! Anyhow when I glanced my eyes over onto the Denim matt in PRIMARK I came across pretty much the exact same jeans but for a cheaper price! At £13 a pair I would of been silly to of said no!
Then I headed to the beautiful River Island and here my amazing purchase!

This bag is to die for! For one it is a baby pink; my favourite colour, two it is a nice small size but it still has 3 spacey compartments and three I just love it! £30.00 is such a small price to pay for such beauty, I  can't wait to use it!

After I headed on to my other jobs I then returned hair and decided to colour my hair and do my nails!

Fashion nails- PRIMARK - £1.00

I adore these nails they are so funky! I have blogged about the PRIMARK fashion nails in more detail which you can find here and here.

So thats my day, in a snippet!
I hope you've all had a great day, sorry its short!

Have you brought any Primark bargains recently?

Todays Mini OOTD 20/02/14

So today I have been out for lunch to Frankie & Benny's with some of the work girls and so I thought id share with you my chosen ootd. Ive classed this one as a mini one as I haven't had time to take proper photos of each item that I am wearing, and so I have just used the camera from my iPhone to take some quick snaps for you; rather than just not have a post to put up for you!

If your anything like me, going out to anywhere and deciding what to wear is a nightmare. You don't want to look under-dressed but then you also don't want to be over-dressed, right? I think its hard to find a balance of being in-between! Now when I go out I choose to use jewellery to help spruce up my outfits, but I still choose simple plain coloured outfits to tone my look down- that is unless I am going somewhere where a bit more thought and effort is required!
So my chosen outfit for today was on the casual side but I added some sparkle and a statement necklace just to spruce things up a little. Here are so photos!

So, what am I wearing? Heres a list for you with links to the products (if they are still available to buy online)

1. Pink Key Hole Back Textured Boxy Top- NEW LOOK £12.99
2. Cream sequin cardigan- PRIMARK £10.00 (no online link available- sorry!)
3. 'Rusty Gold' Statement Necklace- PRIMARK £3.99 (no online link available- sorry!)
4. Indigo Ultra Soft Jean- MISS SELFRIDGE £36.99
5. Tan Studded Boots- NEW LOOK £18.00 (sale price- no longer available to buy online, I purchased them from the Manchester Piccadilly Store.)
(All other jewellery from Marc Jacobs & Pandora.)

1. PINK KEY HOLE BACK TEXTURED BOXY TOP - NEW LOOK, £12.99
I adore this top, it is so nice and can be worn casually or with a statement necklace to dress it up. I purchased mine in a size 10 as I found it to be quite big, I could of probably got away with a size 8 but I like things to be a little baggy. This top has short sleeves, a round neck and has a textured finish which gives it more of a luxurious feel than just wearing a t-shirt. For £12.99 I think it is fab for value, and it is available in other colours; black, white, and baby blue! You can find this top in store or online using my links at New Look.

2.CREAM SEQUIN CARDIGAN - PRIMARK, £10.00
Unfortunately I don't have a clickable link for you guys to view or buy this product as obviously Primark have not yet set up an online website which lets you buy things from it, so alls I can do is show you a picture and let you know a bit about the product. I brought this cardigan about a year ago as it just caught my eye. It can be worn daily with a t-shirt just to give your outfit a little bit more edge, or it can be worn to a more fancier occasion seen as it has sparkly sequins to give you that party look! This cardigan is quite baggy but is only a size small, but I like that because I find it more comfy. I love this cardigan and for £10 you can't really go wrong!

3. 'RUSTY GOLD' STATEMENT NECKLACE - PRIMARK, £3.99
I was attracted to buy this necklace as soon as I saw it in my local store just because of the pretty detail of it. It is not a bright gold colour; more of a rusty gold, but I just love the shape of it and how it looks like a row of thin leaves which have detail on them. This is perfect over any top for that little added extra, or with a dress to really spruce it up on a night out in a subtle but not 'blinged up' way.

4. INDIGO ULTRA SOFT JEAN - MISS SELFRIDGE, £36.99
I usually if not always buy my jeans from Miss Selfridge. This is because often I have shopped around and wasted money on jeans that have left me not satisfied with the quality for money. I really like these jeans for several reasons. The colour is not just a dark blue, it is an Indigo blue which makes them stand out a bit more, and when I am wearing them I don't just feel like 'urgh I'm wearing jeans again'. In these jeans I feel confident not only to wear them on a day to day basis, but also to go out at night in perhaps for tea or to the cinema, as they feel nice and smart when they are on. I think £36.99 is a little on the pricey side for me personally, but I am willing to pay it just for the quality that they give. Every time they have come from the washer they have never altered and the colour of them has never faded. I have had these jeans for over 6 months now and worn them several times a week and they still look in great condition.

5. TAN STUDDED BOOTS - NEW LOOK, £18.99 (sale price, normally £39.99)
These boots are my favourite at the minute. I have quite a few pairs of knee length boots but I love the tan colour of these, and the effect the gold studs give to the actual boot. I have searched online for the link for these boots and they are not showing up at all so I take it they have sold out online, but I purchased mine from the Manchester store so perhaps you may be lucky enough to find them still in yours? £18.99 in the sale and what a fab price to pay. They are really comfy to wear and just zip up making them easy to take on and off. I love wearing these boots with jeans or leggings.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my ootd choice! Check back soon for more posts! (sorry about the house phone on the photo below, last minute snap!)

What has been your chosen OOTD today?
