Todays #ootd ... white maybe the new black?!

So today the sun was shining, what better day than to wear white! Im obsessed with black and if I am honest and own up I probably own a little too much... but then can you have too much black in your closet?? White is going to be on trend for summer and its starting to enter a lot of high street shops already. For me white is a iffy colour. I love to see it especially when the sun is shining, but I just feel it exposes you more.. and you can't hide away in it like you can in black!
I recently brought an amazing long oversized sleeveless white jacket from New Look. Today seemed like the perfect day to wear it for the first time and to try and get used to wearing white ready for the upcoming summer weeks!
Heres my full #ootd !

Cameo Rose White Sleeveless Jacket - NEW LOOK - £17.99
Grey Long Sleeved Tee - PRIMARK - £3.50
LIZZIE Clean Indigo Jean - MISS SELFRIDGES - £38.00
Converse - SOLE TRADER - £44.99

I love that this has a collared front, draws your eye to the casual fit yet smart look.

What I love most about this jacket is that it is so versatile. It can be worn in a formal way, or as I've styled it today in an casual way! I love the pocket detailing.. although that is a trick as there is actually no pockets, but I love that it looks like they're super big! The length of this is perfect and its so comfy and moves freely when you wear it. I chose to pair it with some skinny jeans and converse today  just because its Sunday and I felt like having a casual day! I think this would also look lovely paired with some patterned leggings and ankle boots, and also a long sleeved swing dress!

I can't wait to wear this sleeveless jacket again with a different outfit. It almost certainly put a smile on my face today with the sun being out! New Look also stock this in a camel colour which you can find here. There is literally so much white in the shops now and I think I'm going to brave it and splash out on some more to lighten up my wardrobe.

I chose to spend today having a walk around, then I had a little trip to Costa to enjoy a lovely drink! I hope you all had a fab Sunday and are looking forward to a brand new week!
You can find links to all my items featured in this post above.

What are your thoughts on white? Are you brave enough to ditch the black in your wardrobe for summer?

OOTD, Nothing to wear...

"I have nothing to wear" is frequently a phrase of mine. No matter how many clothes I own I still never have anything to wear... typical girl! Im loving the slogan tees out at the minute, and theres so many around. Heres one that fits mine and probably a lot of other girls everyday dilemma!

*also available in the maternity range*

I just had to buy this t-shirt when I saw in. It fits perfectly and it is such a bargain for £7.99. Heres how I styled it for my #ootd...

*I've just seen online as I searched for the link that this cardigan is currently £12.99 on sale! Grab a bargain quick, its so fluffy and warm; perfect for these cold winter months!*

I whipped this outfit together for a casual Saturday out to do more christmas shopping. I love that it is all black, sometimes I think that black is my favourite colour- you just can't go wrong with it! I love the monochrome look of the t-shirt with its white writing which makes it stand out and actually breaks the black up making it easier to get away with!

Have you spotted any slogan t-shirts that suit you down to a tee??

Keeping it simple: #OOTD

The time has come for all the weekend shopping trips to start getting those christmas presents for our loved ones. When I go shopping I hate wearing anything thick or heavy as I just get to hot, I like to be cool and comfy. Also I don't know if this is just me but when I go shopping I sometimes come home more depressed than when I went as I see other people dressed really nice and I see lots of lovely clothes then look at my own outfit and think what a waste of money, Heres to just a little post wearing something pink for an afternoon of shopping; and of course anything pink is a favourite to me! This is a simple affordable outfit that won't break the bank!

Here I was stuck, I really wanted to wear my knee high tan boots from New Look but then I remembered as I mentioned above how hot I get when I'm shopping, and so I decided to change them to the following for more comfort...

Jumper - PRIMARK - £5.00 (sale)
Jeggins - PRIMARK - £7.00
Cut Out Buckle Ankle Boots - SELECT FASHION - £20
Necklace - PRIMARK - £2.00 (sale)
*Any other jewellery shown is Pandora*

What I love most about this outfit is that it is simple, pink & comfy. I love the jumper and it was an absolute bargain from Primark. It is pink knit at the front and has a white blouse type back which just makes it so different from all the other jumpers I have seen out at the minute which are really thick and heavy. I also really like how it has the collar. Usually I would wear a blouse under my jumper to create this look, but then once again get really hot and end up taking off the jumper. This is perfect as it creates the look without having to wear something underneath. This was £5 in the sale reduced from £12- I just couldn't say no to it, especially as it is pink!
I decided to pair this with a simple pair of blue jeggins and finally decided to go with my cut out buckled ankle boots for my foot wear. These boots were a bargain too from Select Fashion at just £20! I have seen so many ankle boots on the high street at some shocking prices for what they actually are! I love the gold detailing on the buckle on these!
Lots of people were looking at me like I was mad walking around with no coat, but I just can't do with being hot and bothered when shopping!
So theres my outfit which totals £34... affordable and comfy!

Have you started your christmas shopping for 2014?

The futures bright, the futures orange! #ootn

So this weekend just gone I travelled to Burnley for one of my boyfriend's DJ events. As usual planning up to this event was stressful as I never know what to wear for a night out these days as most clothes now I find you have to be size 6 to fit in them and look good… In my case this cannot happen! I needed an outfit on a budget, and having shopped around for a few weeks Primark became my saviour once again, and saved the day (or night even).

Heres a few pictures of the clothes I managed to find, and how I put them together to create my OOTN.

Where to buy...
1. Orange Cami Top - PRIMARK - £4.00
2. Black Scalloped Edge Shorts with Cut Out Detail- PRIMARK - £10.00
3. Fashion Statement Necklace: Black&Gold - PRIMARK - £2.00 (Sale)
*link to the shoes only shows the shoes in black as cannot find the orange ones online, but sure they will be available in your local store*

I absolutely love this outfit, and the whole thing cost just £27.00! Heres a few more photos of the items that I chose to wear...

1. Orange Cami Top - PRIMARK - £4.00

Everyone loves a cami, and at £4.00 you just can't go wrong! Primark have these in all different colours. I chose this bright orange colour as I thought it would stand out against my choice of black shorts. These tops are also helpful for dressing up or down, whatever the occasion. Apologises for the creases, I have too many clothes in my closet and they get squashed!

2. Black Scalloped Edge Shorts with Cut Out DetailPRIMARK - £10.00

These shorts are my favourite! I love anything thats black, and the scalloped edge detail makes them more pretty… but with the added cut out detailing - they just make the perfect short! These shorts can be dressed up or dressed down with a t-shirt for a more casual look.

    3. Fashion Statement Necklace: Black&Gold - PRIMARK - £2.00 (Sale)

What need I say, I have so many different statement necklaces at home, and I think all the different ones out at the minute just make an outfit stand out.

I originally planned on wearing some black heels with a gold bar across them to bring out the black and gold in my chosen necklace, but after wandering around New Look I came across these amazing platform shoes! I was scared at first that I wouldn't be able to walk in them, but having the platform on them really helped and I was fine! For £11.00 I was so so happy, and they matched my cami vest top perfectly! These shoes also have the cut out detail, and once on the foot they are so so comfy and look really nice!

So theres my bargain outfit for last weekend… What do you all think? I really liked it and felt really comfy out wearing it as the cami and the shorts are both quite floaty when on :)

*apologises for the lighting, no filters used on any photos taken… this photo on the left is bright from the hotel room light, and obviously the one on the right is darker due to being outside at night time*

Have you dropped on any bargains just lately?

OOTD- High-street heaven gives us affordable fashion.

Just recently I am loving the high street shops! Primark especially is catching my eye at the minute- at one point I was trying to avoid shopping in there as I wanted to save my money to be able to buy some high-end fashion… but Ive been pulled back by the goddesses of the high street!

Heres a recent OOTD that I featured up on my Instagram that I think is an affordable outfit with thanks to our very own high street!

I especially love the sparkly diamonte's on this top, it makes a simple top stand out straight away.

The blue in the paisley scarf really brings out the rest of the detail giving it that extra little spark.

SPARKLE TOP- PRIMARK- £8.00
PAISLEY SCARF- PRIMARK- £4.00
JEGGINS- PRIMARK- £7.00
TAN BOOTS- NEW LOOK- £18.00 (sale price)
* All jewellery worn is PANDORA *

I love this outfit because its casual but it is made a little more formal due to the diamonte detail on the top, and by the gorgeous pink patterns in the scarf. What I also like about this outfit is that it has a country feel to it.
I think my favourite item here is the scarf by far… Its so strange how a patterned scarf can completely change the look of an outfit.
Primark have so many lovely things in at the minute, and with them offering things like the above and for example the jeggings at £7.00 its so easy to put a full outfit together without breaking the bank!

Have you found any bargains from the high street recently?

What I wore and a new found love.

So the other day I visited a little town in Nantwich with my mum for a little walk around and for some afternoon tea. I've never been to Nantwich before so I didn't know what to expect, and as always when your going anywhere I didn't know what to wear! The weather was sunny but with a really cold wind, so I decided on summery colours and patterns but with a warm over sized jacket. Heres some photos of my OOTD:

(please excuse the ruffled jeans.. not a good look I will admit!)

So onto what I wore!
Pink Oversized Wool JacketSelect Clothing - £40.00
Skinny Jeans - Primark - £11.00
Cream Key Hole Black Textured Boxy Top - New Look - £12.99
Jewelled Statement Necklace - Primark - £3.00
Polka Dot Satchel bag - Primark - £6.00
Navy Sailor Striped Wedges - USC (Huntington) - £20.00

My favourite pick from this outfit is obviously the coat, mainly because its pink! I adore the colour that this coat is, its like a baby pink but not too light! I was worried at first that with it being wool it may make me itch as I have sensitive skin, but its been completely fine! From Select for £40.00 this coat was an absolute STEAL! I had it brought for me as a present for Christmas (just gone) and its truly one of the best coats I've ever had! Im not sure if this is still available to buy as I've looked online and can't find it, but perhaps try your local store? These coats are hot on the trend at the minute, and at £40.00 you can't go wrong, its so cosy and warm; and the best part about it is that it isn't heavy which I initially expected it to be with it being woollen and oversized!

If I'm wearing something of a light shade I tend to keep my top a light colour too, hence the white/cream choice. I've posted about these tops before in a little OOTD featuring a different coloured one; if you didn't see it you can read it here. This top is also a fab steal at £12.99 from New Look. Im loving New Look at the minute as they have currently got all the latest trends for affordable prices. This top can be dressed up or down so your defo getting your moneys worth. I paired it with the Primark jewelled statement necklace just to give it that extra effect, and popped on some of their blue skinny jeans for that casual look!

My shoe choice was quite a strange one that day as I decided I wanted the same colour as my bag, but I wanted to clash the patterns, so as I was using the beautiful navy blue & white polka dotted satchel bag from Primark I went for some navy blue and white stripped shoes.. as you do!

The little satchel bag is so cute and is totally on trend for summer. £6.00; another Primark bargain! It is only really small which means you can't fit too much inside it, but if your like me and you tend to hoard any old crap in your handbag then its perfect because it stops it!
The wedge shoes I had from USC a few years back and are Huntington.. I haven't seen many around since but I'm guessing as its nearing the holiday season these type of wedges will be back out!
Heres a few more photos of my OOTD.

I ended up having a lovely little day in Nantwich! I hope you like my OOTD.. Lots more to come so be  sure to keep checking back!

What styles are you loving at the minute?
