#Thats what makes you beautiful.

On the hunt for makeup once again, I recently discovered the MUA products! Ive heard quite a few people talking about it on blog posts, but as i was doing some shopping i came across it in Superdrug. makeup is getting so expensive these days, so firstly i couldn't believe how amazingly cheap and affordable these products were; and i must admit i did think that there must be some reason why they were so cheap. They all have lovely clear packaging, which i like- you can see the product instead of it being sold by some misleading picture or design. I was spoilt for choice seen as there is a huge range to choose from, but i decided on these...

MUA:
(Top to Bottom, Left to Right)
Mascara: Shade 5 (Black)
Intense Colour Eyeliner: Jet Black
Eye Shadow: Shade 30
Eye Shadow: Shade 4
Eye Shadow: Shade 3
Eye Shadow: Shade 24
Bronzer: Shade 1

First things first, all of this came to £7, yes thats under £10! Im still unsure as to why all the MUA products are £1, but who can complain when you can stock up on your basics for as little as that!
I decided to get the mascara, simply for a top coat. The brush is quite thin as you can see from the picture below.

For £1 you really can't complain at it... It is perfect for going over your normal mascara just to give it a darker look. I personally wouldn't use this as my normal everyday mascara, but certainly worth a place in your makeup bags!
I also got some eye liner because the one i had previously been using just kept getting smaller and smaller so i thought it was time to buy a new one! I never have any luck with eyeliner; i either buy ones that don't stay on my eyes at all, or they just don't seem to go on! I was so happy when i used this eyeliner, once again for a pound, what a bargain...
I got this in Jet Black as straight away i thought it would give a thick colourful look and it did. It stays on so well and i don't have to keep topping it up every time i look in the mirror! It also comes with a handy sharpener as a lid which is great for when your on the go and haven't got time to faff around trying to find one! I think this has to be my favourite eyeliner at the minute, so for something so cheap; its really amazed me.

The next thing i spotted whilst doing this little shop was all the eye shadows that were available, there was so many different colours to choose from, but i finally made my mind up and narrowed it down to these four; for the moment!

So far i have only used two of these, Shade 4 & Shade 24. The colours are just so bright, and obviously these have hints of glitter in making them so pretty. I wondered whether these would be a little bit messy seen as they were once again £1, but they are such good quality for the money! I wore Shade 24 the other night for a party that i went too, and all night i didn't have to once re-apply my eyeshadow; it stayed on so well. I am defo going to invest in the other colours that are available. The only thing i can say that i dislike about these is that they don't actually come with a shade name, just a number- therefore you just have to go by 'purple eyeshadow' etc, but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to saving money!

Last but not least the bronzer. I haven't actually used this yet and its still in the packaging so i haven't taken a closer picture unfortunately. Im sure there were only 3 shades to choose from in this, in which i had the darkest shade- with it being a bronzer! If the other products are anything to go by, I'm guessing this is just as good as all the others!

All of these products were from my local Superdrug store, but they can also be found online where there are more shades/tones amiable :)

Have you used any MUA products? Whats your opinion?

Winter essentials!

Firstly let me say.. I cannot believe that it is November 18th already... half way through the month! Christmas is vastly approaching us, and the cold days/nights are slowly arriving. Its that time of the year were we need to take care of our skin as the cold can make it dry/sore. Here are just a few of my winter essentials to help protect myself from the horrid weather!
These are amiable from any beauty shop... Boots or Superdrug. They are all great value for money and last quite a long time! I use these on a daily basis... but as it tends to get colder i find myself using the body butter more as it is more thicker and gives more moisture!

Vaseline- Cocoa Butter, deep conditioning body lotion with cocoa butter and Vitamin E, 200ml £3.55
Vaseline- Cocoa Butter, smoothing body butter with cocoa and shea butters, 250ml £5.10
Vaseline- Petroleum jelly, 20g £1.40
Vaseline- Petroleum jelly; Rosy lips, 20g £1.99
(all prices are based upon buying online from Boots)

You may wonder why all of these are 'Vaseline' ... Its because i find for my skin it is the best make to use. Johnson's for example always seems to leave a greasy feel, and it doesn't soak into my skin properly. The two Vaseline lip therapy pots are my most used. I use the original blue one all the time, and towards winter and then in summer i use the Rosy lips for just a hint of pink!

What are your winter essentials?

So, i recently did a 'whats in my bag' post which you can find here if you haven't already seen it. It was quite a big hit in terms of the amount of people who read the post, so i thought why not do a 'whats in my makeup bag' post for you all!
Now i have 3 different makeup bags, and i use bits and bobs out of all of them its just i like to keep my makeup together in terms of newness and oldness. I also have a little metal vanity box full of makeup, but for this post I'm just going to show you the makeup i use on a day to day basis... all the others i will leave for a makeup collection post. Im terrible when it comes to makeup bags as i am always buying them... theres some real pretty ones out there! But for the time being this is the one I'm currently using...
This makeup bag was from Superdrug, i think it was like £3.99? something like that! Its really cute, and obviously pink! Now onto whats inside...

As mentioned above, this is just my day to day makeup; i apologise for them being a tad dirty, my makeup bag needs a good clean! All the things here are just basis makeup.

More love for Barry M

I was in Superdrug the other day, and as always i decided to check out the Barry M counter. I noticed that they had a '3 for £9.99' deal on all of the eye products, which included eyeshadow duo sets, eye dust, mascara, eyeliner, etc. How could i not take up this fab offer! Of course i did :) Heres what i got...

These eyeshadow duos are amazing! They do them in different shades but i chose this one because i thought the colours are nice and sparkly for christmas! It is called 'Smoky Seduction'. The colour on the left is like a really light silver, and in the middle is a darky grey colour, and on the right end is more of a deep grey almost blackish type colour. These are £5.99 each.
(I apologise for the crappy pictures, i was using my digital camera but my battery went so i had to use my phones camera!)

This mascara is fab! Its 'Intense black mascara 3in1'. It 'Volumises-Lengthens-Curls'... The brush is quite thick but small enough to reach all those stubborn eyelashes! The colour is quite a dark black too, retailing at £6.19

Next i was looking at eyeliners, and i thought why not try this new one out as I'm so used to the paint brush types...

I was actually quite amazed at this little number! Its called 'Wink' and is simply 'black marker pen for eyes'... its as simple as that! I pulled the lid off and it is just like a felt tip pen! It is so so easy to use rather than the other style eye liner, and it actually stays on longer and it doesn't flake off once its been on a few hours and has gone dry! Retails at £4.59

So there we have it, the '3 for £9.99'... such a good deal! I also decided to get some new lipsticks as mine have almost run out so heres what i chose...

From left to right the colours are:
146 Dolly Pink
113 Sheer Pink
101 Marshmellow

These are 3 of my fav's from all of the lipsticks available, £4.49 each :)

So there we have it, my little Barry M haul!

Have you tried these products? What are your fav's? xxxxxxxxxx

Re. Foundation Blues...

If you have read my recent blogs then you will know all about my new foundation purchase... if not please find it here :)
As promised I said I would let you all know how I got on with this Loreal Infallible make-up.... Two words, love it! It has a perfect coverage and is so soft to the skin. The shade that I brought (140 Golden Beige) totally matched my skin complexion, and it just looks really nice. I would not say that it has a '16 Hour' wear, as I still find after a busy day at work, it does not stay on as good as it is when its first put on... BUT it does not come off altogether like most foundations do!
Overall I would rate this product maybe an 7/10... as it is quite pricey.

Whats your favourite foundation? xxxxx

Nail paint x

When it comes to nails i always have to have mine painted, i cannot stand to see plain nails unless they are nicely french manicured. There as so many different makes of nail varnish around, it is hard to say which really is the best. Personally my favourite are those from the Barry M range.

Black-311 (Effects)
Pink-314 (Effects)
Chocolate Brown-129
Bright Red-262
Bright Purple-303
Bright Pink-279
Matt White-66

The picture above shows just a few of the colour's that i own out of this range, but as you can see they are bright and catch the eye. They are easy to apply as the actual brush is quite long, and i find that it does not chip as quick as an average nail varnish does. I would recommend a lighter colour to be previously painted as a base for your chosen Barry M colour as they can stain your nails.

My favourite has to be the bright pink coloured one as it is just so girly and makes your nails look so pretty. Also as you can see i have placed two of the nail effects on the picture, the black one is really good and looks nice with any colour that you mix it with, however i do not like the other colour's when it comes to the effect as it can look a bit shabby. The normal nail varnish's retail at £2.99 each, and the nail effects are £3.99 each; both from Superdrug. At the minute there is an offer on the normal nail varnish where you can buy two for £4.99 (does not include the nail effects varnish.. offer also available online; LTO)
