NOTD 18/02/2014

So, if your a girly girl like me (well you don't even need to be a girly girl, but if you love nail paints as much as I do) you may find yourself like me today wondering what colour to paint your nails when you have so much to choose from!

I decided to choose two of my favourite nail paints; One from the Barry M collections and one from Max Factor! Here is my choice…

                            1)                                                                                              2)

The picture to the left (1) is from the Barry M collection and is called Fushia- Number 302. You can buy this online using the following links or in any local beauty store such as Boots or Superdrug, or from the Barry M official website, costing £2.99.

I chose this colour today as I fancied a pink coloured nail paint, but this is such a lovely bright pink and it just stands out so well! Barry M nail paints are always good quality and long lasting I've found, and so putting this on is so simple. I just popped two coats of this on and straight away it gave me beautiful nails!

As you can see this 302 Fushia shade   is such a lovely colour and is nice and shiny creating a fab look at an affordable price!

Next just to spruce them up I decided to use one more colour for effect, and I chose the product below(picture number 2) …

This is a small nail paint by Max Factor. I had this last christmas time as I felt gold was the colour for the season! This nail paint doesn't actually tell me what shade/colour it is, so I have looked on the Max Factor website & it took me to a Boots website to buy it which come up with the label Ivory 1 for the colour (thats the closet I could find)...
This is a mini pot of lasting effects nail paint and is so sparkly and shimmery I love it! You can buy it in store or online at Boots and Superdrug. These little pots of joy are also 3.99.. bargains!
I only used this gold sparkly colour on one finger nail of each hand to give it a different effect.. Heres my end result!….

What colour are your nails today?

Hope you've enjoyed this NOTD post! Feel free to leave me a comment & let me know what you think!

You can buy both of these products at the stores mentioned above, and many others too.

Lots of love...

Glitter makes the heart glow...

I have done a review on this Barry M product before, which you can find here. I just wanted to do this quick post though as this nail paint was my favourite again this christmas just gone. The colour is just so so lovely, and the sparkle that you get from it is awesome!
BARRY M- 150 RED GLITTER (137)
When i wear this nail paint i get so many lovely comments, "whats that nail paint?!" "whos done your nails" ... Its so lovely to know you can achieve this from a high street product... i think its fab! The red is such a nice colour, and the glitter just adds on to how pretty it really is.

Nails when painted with the above mentioned paint.

Barry M products are avaiable at most Superdrug & Boots stores or from their online stores which are linked, or of course from the Barry M website it-self :)

Im currently out shopping as this post is shared, ah the joys of a scheduled post :) Hopefully im buying lots of lovely things to review for you!

Zebra Tips!

Because i've not blogged in so long, i thought id be nice & do two posts in one day!

Last night i was sat watching some tele and decided to paint my nails as I'm off work this week on a paid holiday... I've stopped painting my nails whilst I'm working as theres just no point because as soon as i do them and go in they get chipped and ruined! I was undecided on what colour to do them, and i thought to myself what can i do thats different... and this is what i came up with!

Okay so i know they aren't that good... BUT i did rush them and I'm not that good of a nail painter as my hands shake a lot... but i just love them! I just used Barry M nail paint, white for the tips and black for the pattern. Instead of drawing perfect black lines i did them a bit messy to make a better effect.

This is just one example of what you can do to your nails instead of painting them just one bold colour... i may try leopard print next, who knows!

How do you paint your nails?

These boots were made for walking...

So i once again didn't manage to get a 'Wandering Wednesday' post to you all yesterday as i was mega busy... so i thought i would post this instead! Heres just a few pictures of my week since Sunday!
Sunday night after work i went to a local pub with a few mates for the pub quiz and a few well earned glasses of wine! Turned out to be a funny night! My next highlight was Tuesday, after working for ( hours i came out of work to find the amazing Coca-Cola Christmas truck in our town! It was so beautiful, just like the one off the tele! Lol. Following this i had a busy pamper night (which included using different Barry M nail paint for the colours of the boys!) as on Wednesday i got up at 5.10am, left the house at 6.10am and made my way to Manchester! I was planning on seeing JLS at their signing for their new album Jukebox. We arrived there at 7.30am, wristbands went meant to be given out until 8am, but it turned out 400 people decided to camp out on Tuesday night and they had all gone! So unfair! After this we decided to walk around Manny for a bit. I love it there, its where i want to live! I also went to the Trafford Centre as wel as being in Manchester Picadilly... There Christmas tree is amazing! It has eyes, nose & a mouth... AND it sings Christmas songs!! .... On the way back to the car i saw the amazing lamp that is posted as a picture above! Im not sure how much it was as i didn't have time to look... But it is so cool ha ha! After this we travelled back home, went for a meal then i came home and went to bed... tired wasn't the word!
Back to work for me tonight until Sunday! I wanted to go and see Braking Dawn Prt.1 tomorrow night but i think our local cinema is fully booked so il just have to wait!

Have a good weekend...
With love

New edition to Barry M..

So you all must know by now how much i love Barry M! Anyway this is just a quite post too show you my two most recent editions to my Barry M nail paint collection!

150 Red Glitter (137)
 54 Clear (139)

These two nail paints are amazing! Ive literally had so many comments about the red glitter one it is un true!

Firstly the clear on is a 'base coat, top coat and nail hardener' ... Please don't think that this is like any other clear nail varnish as it is not! I put this on as a base coat before putting the glitter paint on, then i put two coats on top thinking it would be the same as normal... wrong!! Omg this actually helps to seal in the colour and stops it from chipping! My job usually ruins my nails but with this on they were protected and had hardly any chips! Also it took me 30 solid minutes to take off my nail varnish seen as i put too much of this on so i would recommend just the one coat before and after!

Ono the red glitter... I saw this and thought thats really pretty, especially for christmas. I put it on and i was amazed! So much glitter my nails looked fab! Everywhere I've been people have asked me what nail paint it is and i know the shops by me have now sold out of it! I managed to get these two paints from Boots for £2.99 each on offer. Im unsure if you can get it from the Barry M website or not as i haven't checked!

The pictures you will see below are the red glitter with the clear on underneath and on top. You will see i currently only have my tips painted with it as it took me too long to take off the full nail paint so i didn't have long to re-paint them.

(please ignore any bodged bits as my hands shake a lot and i don't use stencils! Plus I'm new to only painting the tips!)

Barry oh'M'geee...

Whilst i was out shopping in Superdrug the other day, i noticed that Barry M still had the '2 for £4.99' offer on the nail paint's; and once again i was hooked! There are so many colour's to choose from... i really just want them all! I already have a few at home as i am trying to collect them... but i ended up buying another 4 to add to them!
The picture too the left are the ones i brought this time round. From left to right...
304 Mint Green
307 Lemon
317 Blue Moon
318 Peach Melba
I absolutely adore these colour's! They are so fresh and summery!

& this is what they all look like! (I apologise for the messy painting... I was in a rush to get this all posted for you!)
I love Barry M products for the range of colour's you can get and the long lasting use! & obviously because they don't test on animals!
I am definitely going to be buying more to add to my collection!

Pretty Polish

Seen as i haven't blogged for a while due to being ill, i thought i would share with you one of my most recent purchases from Elf :o)
I've always been one to have my nails painted with a colour paint (i.e pink/purple etc). I have always liked the french manicured look, but from past experiences i have never found any sets that look natural as most sets seem to have colour's that are to dark to look like a natural nail colour.
As i was browsing on Elf's website i came across this little french manicure set. It was only £4 which i think is a great price considering it consists of 3 nail polish's. The packaging is really pretty!
As you can see from the photo on the left once on it looks beautiful! I did not need to use the nail tip stencil's that it comes with as i have long nails so i can use my own as a guideline. The polish's dry really quick, and they do not leave a sticky/matted effect. The nail polish's also have quite long brushes which makes it easier to apply.
I would definitely recommend this set to any once, even a bigger as it is just so easy to use and really good value for money!

Nail paint x

When it comes to nails i always have to have mine painted, i cannot stand to see plain nails unless they are nicely french manicured. There as so many different makes of nail varnish around, it is hard to say which really is the best. Personally my favourite are those from the Barry M range.

Black-311 (Effects)
Pink-314 (Effects)
Chocolate Brown-129
Bright Red-262
Bright Purple-303
Bright Pink-279
Matt White-66

The picture above shows just a few of the colour's that i own out of this range, but as you can see they are bright and catch the eye. They are easy to apply as the actual brush is quite long, and i find that it does not chip as quick as an average nail varnish does. I would recommend a lighter colour to be previously painted as a base for your chosen Barry M colour as they can stain your nails.

My favourite has to be the bright pink coloured one as it is just so girly and makes your nails look so pretty. Also as you can see i have placed two of the nail effects on the picture, the black one is really good and looks nice with any colour that you mix it with, however i do not like the other colour's when it comes to the effect as it can look a bit shabby. The normal nail varnish's retail at £2.99 each, and the nail effects are £3.99 each; both from Superdrug. At the minute there is an offer on the normal nail varnish where you can buy two for £4.99 (does not include the nail effects varnish.. offer also available online; LTO)
