#Thats what makes you beautiful.

On the hunt for makeup once again, I recently discovered the MUA products! Ive heard quite a few people talking about it on blog posts, but as i was doing some shopping i came across it in Superdrug. makeup is getting so expensive these days, so firstly i couldn't believe how amazingly cheap and affordable these products were; and i must admit i did think that there must be some reason why they were so cheap. They all have lovely clear packaging, which i like- you can see the product instead of it being sold by some misleading picture or design. I was spoilt for choice seen as there is a huge range to choose from, but i decided on these...

MUA:
(Top to Bottom, Left to Right)
Mascara: Shade 5 (Black)
Intense Colour Eyeliner: Jet Black
Eye Shadow: Shade 30
Eye Shadow: Shade 4
Eye Shadow: Shade 3
Eye Shadow: Shade 24
Bronzer: Shade 1

First things first, all of this came to £7, yes thats under £10! Im still unsure as to why all the MUA products are £1, but who can complain when you can stock up on your basics for as little as that!
I decided to get the mascara, simply for a top coat. The brush is quite thin as you can see from the picture below.

For £1 you really can't complain at it... It is perfect for going over your normal mascara just to give it a darker look. I personally wouldn't use this as my normal everyday mascara, but certainly worth a place in your makeup bags!
I also got some eye liner because the one i had previously been using just kept getting smaller and smaller so i thought it was time to buy a new one! I never have any luck with eyeliner; i either buy ones that don't stay on my eyes at all, or they just don't seem to go on! I was so happy when i used this eyeliner, once again for a pound, what a bargain...
I got this in Jet Black as straight away i thought it would give a thick colourful look and it did. It stays on so well and i don't have to keep topping it up every time i look in the mirror! It also comes with a handy sharpener as a lid which is great for when your on the go and haven't got time to faff around trying to find one! I think this has to be my favourite eyeliner at the minute, so for something so cheap; its really amazed me.

The next thing i spotted whilst doing this little shop was all the eye shadows that were available, there was so many different colours to choose from, but i finally made my mind up and narrowed it down to these four; for the moment!

So far i have only used two of these, Shade 4 & Shade 24. The colours are just so bright, and obviously these have hints of glitter in making them so pretty. I wondered whether these would be a little bit messy seen as they were once again £1, but they are such good quality for the money! I wore Shade 24 the other night for a party that i went too, and all night i didn't have to once re-apply my eyeshadow; it stayed on so well. I am defo going to invest in the other colours that are available. The only thing i can say that i dislike about these is that they don't actually come with a shade name, just a number- therefore you just have to go by 'purple eyeshadow' etc, but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to saving money!

Last but not least the bronzer. I haven't actually used this yet and its still in the packaging so i haven't taken a closer picture unfortunately. Im sure there were only 3 shades to choose from in this, in which i had the darkest shade- with it being a bronzer! If the other products are anything to go by, I'm guessing this is just as good as all the others!

All of these products were from my local Superdrug store, but they can also be found online where there are more shades/tones amiable :)

Have you used any MUA products? Whats your opinion?

February beauty haul x

This is just a tiny little haul for you guys.. I'm not including my clothes purchases into this as i can do them in one big ootd!
I ran out of a few essentials so i obviously had to go out and buy some more... here goes,

So basically here are the few things I've recently brought...
Left to Right:

1)I love... Strawberries & Milkshake exfoliating shower smoothie
2)Simple hydrating light moisturiser
3)Miss Cole shampoo
4)Miss Cole conditioner
5)Palmers Cocoa Butter
6)Miss Sporty pump up lash mascara- 001 Black
7)Miss Sporty liquid concealer- 002 Medium

All products apart from the mascara and concealer were brought from Superdrug, and can be found in store and online here.
Mascara and Concealer from Boots.

  • First of we have the I love exfoliating shower smoothie. Ive not used this product yet, and i have never actually used it. If you saw one of my older posts (you can find it here  if not) on a product similar to this you will know i usually use 'The Pink Cow Strawberry Sundae'. I did actually intend on buying this from boots but they were out of stock so i had to get this one from Superdrug for £2.05, which is intact dearer than the one i usually use.. so I'm hoping it is just as good! Im not going to say much on this product as i will probably review it once i use it and do a comparison with my original favourite. It is a 200ml bottle, and it smells really nice! The packaging is quite cute too with the little love hearts on the front!

  • I usually use Simple products for my face as i find that they don't do much for the rest of my skin. The light moisturiser is perfect for my face as it isn't too thick and heavy. This is a 125ml bottle, which costs £3.25. I get this one as it helps to hydrate your skin which obviously is a vital thing in a skin care regime.

  • Shampoo & Conditioner... where do you start?! Ive tried so many makes and brands that I'm sure I've actually tried them all! From making your hair dry to colour fading.. so much to think about when picking these! I usually use the L'oreal highlighting one for blonde hair.. but i was in Superdrug and saw these and thought id give them a go! Im not too sure on the brand as Miss Cole is obviously new, and I've not heard much about them. The shampoo is 99p! and the conditioner is £1.99. I have used these once and I'm 50/50 at the minute in terms of what i think of them, the bottles are both 300ml which is a lot for how cheap they cost, and they do smell really nice. I love the packaging cause its so pretty and girly and anyone who knows me knows how much i love pink so its quite a bonus for me! The ones i chose are for coloured hair, but there is also a shampoo and conditioner available for normal hair which comes in white bottles. As i mentioned I've used these once, my hair wasn't dull or anything and it did smell lovely and looked clean... so I'm going to continue using them and see how i get on... you can't complain for the price really even if they are just used in between running out of your normal ones!

  • Palmers.. heaven on earth as a moisturiser! I love this so much, its a regular on my skin regime. This bottle is a 250ml bottle, and as soon as you open the lid you smell the gorgeous cocoa butter! At £3.75 i do think the price is a little steep but defo worth it because it just smells so nice and makes your skin so soft! I can't use this on my face as it is a little too greasy for my skin, but this would be the moisturiser i reccomend for anyone, its even really good for after tanning!

  • Mascara, a girls best friend! Just like shampoo and conditioner I've tried so many and i tend to use different ones all the time. I just wanted a cheap one to add on as a last coat, and so i went and brought this Miss Sporty one. This is in the colour Black (001) and costs £3.99 for 7ml. The brush is quite a thick chunky one which i prefer as i think it covers more eyelashes. I was very happy too when i found this in Boots as at the time it was on offer. I can't remember whether it was if you brought anything for £3.99 or just if you brought the mascara, but you got a free liquid concealer which is worth £2.99 and has such good coverage!

So there we have it, my most recent beauty haul! :)

Whats in my makeup bag...

So, i recently did a 'whats in my bag' post which you can find here if you haven't already seen it. It was quite a big hit in terms of the amount of people who read the post, so i thought why not do a 'whats in my makeup bag' post for you all!
Now i have 3 different makeup bags, and i use bits and bobs out of all of them its just i like to keep my makeup together in terms of newness and oldness. I also have a little metal vanity box full of makeup, but for this post I'm just going to show you the makeup i use on a day to day basis... all the others i will leave for a makeup collection post. Im terrible when it comes to makeup bags as i am always buying them... theres some real pretty ones out there! But for the time being this is the one I'm currently using...
This makeup bag was from Superdrug, i think it was like £3.99? something like that! Its really cute, and obviously pink! Now onto whats inside...

As mentioned above, this is just my day to day makeup; i apologise for them being a tad dirty, my makeup bag needs a good clean! All the things here are just basis makeup.

  • Sigma makeup brush; I won this of a blog competition... you can find my review and where to be it here
  • Avon Bronzing Pearls, a must have! Im not sure of the accurate price for these as mine last me quite a while, maybe £8 something?
  • Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (Medium 3), perfect for blemishes! I had this from Tesco for about £3.50
  • L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfection Foundation (Golden Beige, 140), Superdrug £12.99... You can find my review here and here
  • Barry M Intense Black Mascara, 3 in 1, £6.19... You can find my love for Barry M here and here AND here
  • Collection 2000 Collagen Curl Mascara... I picked this up from Tesco in the sale for £1!
  • Elf Liquid eyeliner, £1.50. You can find more of Elf  here
  • Barry M Kohl Pencil... I had this free from a  voucher that was in one of the magazines a while back!.
  • Rimmel London, Pink Rose Blusher, Boots £3.99.
  • Rimmel London, Pink blush (006) Lipstick... £4.99 from Superdrug... Find my review here.

And so thats everything! Im always changing my lipstick but for the moment the one above is what i am currently using... For eyeshadow i just pick a different colour each day dependant on what i am wearing from this...
Elf Eye Pallette, 32pc- Bright, £6.99

So thats everything that i use on a day to day basis!
Im always looking for new makeup so if you have any fab newbies and you recommend them please let me know!

More love for Barry M

I was in Superdrug the other day, and as always i decided to check out the Barry M counter. I noticed that they had a '3 for £9.99' deal on all of the eye products, which included eyeshadow duo sets, eye dust, mascara, eyeliner, etc. How could i not take up this fab offer! Of course i did :) Heres what i got...

These eyeshadow duos are amazing! They do them in different shades but i chose this one because i thought the colours are nice and sparkly for christmas! It is called 'Smoky Seduction'. The colour on the left is like a really light silver, and in the middle is a darky grey colour, and on the right end is more of a deep grey almost blackish type colour. These are £5.99 each.
(I apologise for the crappy pictures, i was using my digital camera but my battery went so i had to use my phones camera!)

This mascara is fab! Its 'Intense black mascara 3in1'. It 'Volumises-Lengthens-Curls'... The brush is quite thick but small enough to reach all those stubborn eyelashes! The colour is quite a dark black too, retailing at £6.19

Next i was looking at eyeliners, and i thought why not try this new one out as I'm so used to the paint brush types...

I was actually quite amazed at this little number! Its called 'Wink' and is simply 'black marker pen for eyes'... its as simple as that! I pulled the lid off and it is just like a felt tip pen! It is so so easy to use rather than the other style eye liner, and it actually stays on longer and it doesn't flake off once its been on a few hours and has gone dry! Retails at £4.59

So there we have it, the '3 for £9.99'... such a good deal! I also decided to get some new lipsticks as mine have almost run out so heres what i chose...

From left to right the colours are:
146 Dolly Pink
113 Sheer Pink
101 Marshmellow

These are 3 of my fav's from all of the lipsticks available, £4.49 each :)

So there we have it, my little Barry M haul!

Have you tried these products? What are your fav's? xxxxxxxxxx
