Birthday/Wedding Celebration #OOTN

So last weekend on Saturday I was a birthday girl! Yes thats right that one time a year you get spoilt for just being born! I am now 26 years old... and feeling even older than that some days! On my birthday a friend of mine was getting married and I had been invited to their wedding reception at night. This made me happy that I was going to be apart of their special day, but at the same time it brought fear as I had no idea what to wear!
On the weeks coming unto my birthday I had searched all the high street shops and could not find anything that caught my eye. I was so stressed out but then it hit me... I decided to wear a dress that I had had brought for me a few months ago that was still brand new hanging up in my closet; I had just completely forgot that I had it! This was perfect, until I realised that I actually had no shoes to go with it, and so on my actual birthday I spent 5 hours actually looking for THE perfect shoes to match! I was so glad that I managed to find some as if I couldn't I would of had to of gone back to square one and found something different to wear!
Heres a few photos of my chosen look, please ignore my messy room.. these are just a few quick shots before I headed off to the party to I apologise for the poor quality.

1. Bodycon Dress: GLANCE - £5.00!
2. Pink Court Shoes: FAITH from DEBENHAMS - £22.50 (sale)
3. Gold Clutch Bag: MARC JACOBS - £ unknown as it was a birthday present

1. The Dress

I absolutely love this dress, and no I haven't made a typo error above, it literally was £5.00! There has been so many of these types of dresses flying around lately in different colours and designs... but they're all the same at the end of the day when it comes to the style and shape and some were ranging from £10 to £40 that id seen. I saw this in a local shop of ours which has now unfortunately shut down and as soon as I saw the £5 sign I was sold! I love the colour of it and I love the floral pattern. I thought this was perfect for a wedding. My only worry was that it sticks to you so it shows up all your 'lumps and bumps'... but I popped it on and had a few drinks and my worries went away!

2. The Shoes

When I mentioned above that I had spent so many hours looking for some pink shoes, I literally had! I had been to so many different shoe shops and none had any in that were of any pink shade! I actually started to get upset, and I even went into one shop - found pink ones but then they didn't have my size! I eventually came across these beauties above, and they were in the sale and in a size 5! I could of jumped for joy! Debenhams was my saviour! These shoes are by Faith and were half price in the sale for £22.50. I love the deep colour of them and pink is my favourite colour so now Im happy that I actually own a pair of pink shoes!

3 & 4. The bag & the watch!

I have had this watch for over 3 years now and it was my first ever Marc Jacobs love! I love the white leather strap and the gold facia, I think it looks so rich and goes with so many different outfits. I was lucky enough to of had the gold clutch bag brought me for my birthday which I think is a perfect match for my watch! I know that the watch cost £160 but I am unsure of how much the clutch was. I cannot wait to style these again at christmas!

No outfit is complete without having lush nails... and so here was my #NOTN!

False Nails - Primark - £1.00!

Seen as these were pink they were a must have to complete my outfit, and them being glittery just sold it to me even more! I put these nails on on Saturday night and it is now Wednesday night and not one has come off! *touch wood*. I think these nails are such good quality for the price you really can't complain. You can see more of these nails in a recent post of mine here.

So there it is, my birthday/wedding outfit! Im really looking forward to styling more outfits ready for the upcoming christmas season. The thing I love most about this outfit is that it was all on a budget and doesn't brake the bank!

Have you got your party dress ready?

Rotary Love.

*Requested post.

So whats that one thing that every girl needs in her jewellery box? A watch! Be it plain and simple, or sparkly and amazing; we all need a watch for everyday living and nightlife!
As you will know there are lots of different watches on sale at the minute; Michael Kors, Radley, Marc Jacobs and many more top quality brands. One that has recently caught my eye as I've wandered past jewellers is Rotary. Their watches just seem so simple and elegant!
The problem with watches these days is the cost. Gone are the days where you can pick up a decent watch that will last for a cheap price. Now we are hit with the massive price tags. If you are a young person starting out in life like me then you may struggle to whack out £300 for a pretty rose gold watch that sparkles on your arm.
(Quotes taken from and linked back to Rotary's website.)
These watches aren't all explicitly affordable, as some are quite expensive- but they do range in price from £99-£200+ giving you that opportunity to buy. I think £99 for a beautiful, stylish and elegant watch is a great price to pay as although it is quite an amount of money, you get what you pay for and obviously a great watch like the ones sold comes with a warranty…Something we are all glad to have!

So which watch am I choosing to talk about? Here it is…

I adore this watch for so many reasons! I love the colour; a nice simple stainless steel! Don't get me wrong I do like gold watches and rose gold watches for that matter, but you can't go wrong with a classic silver watch as it will go with absolutely anything that you wear. Whats even better about a little silver watch is that it can be worn casually or on a night out and it will glam up your outfit with its sophisticated features.
More about the watch.
This watch is obviously a ladies watch and it has the roman numerals on its face for the hours of the day. I like this because it is a classical element of a watch. The colour of this chosen one is a silver bracelet with a pink mother of pearl dial. This watch comes in more colours too which is fab that they give you the choice, but this one is my favourite. The case material is made from stainless steel, and the strap is metal with a silver colour. What I also really like about this watch is the fact that it tells you the date! Im always looking for the date at last minute, and rather than looking for the calendar or pulling your phone out of your bag- its right there on your wrist! It has a push button clasp, and takes a quartz battery.
(All specifications taken from a Rotary stockist- Watches2U)

This watch is not only stylish and contemporary, at £99 it is an affordable luxury- and we all deserve a treat!
Due to Rotary being stocked by many different retailers, Watches2U currently have this beautiful watch in stock, and whats even better is that it is currently on sale for £59.99 with them- even more affordable! The watch comes in its classical Rotary box with its guarantee.

What would I choose to pair this watch with in terms of an outfit? Heres a suggested look that I'm loving from Miss Guided…

Judita Faux Leather Gold Detail Satchel Bag In Grey- Miss Guided- £19.99

Kelsey Chiffon Strappy Jumpsuit In Baby Blue- Miss Guided- £24.99

The stunning Rotary watch would look amazing with this outfit and I'm loving this style! A lovely classy watch like this is a must have for any outfit!
This watch was my personal choice to pick as an affordable watch and it has those girly features at the same time, but Rotary do have lots of different watches on sale; all in different colours/designs and prices.

There are lots of different retailers that stock Rotary watches such as Ernest Jones, H Samuels, The Watch Shop and more. If you can't find a stockist near you then they are available online at www.rotarywatches.com.

You can also find and follow Rotary on some social networks here:

What qualities do you like in a watch; fashionable & stylish, or classical and contemporary?

When two become one.. OOTD, 05/05/12.

As you can see this ootd is a little late; my apologies... and apologies for the light in these pictures!! Saturday 5th May was my cousins wedding so with every good wedding comes a party! As per usual the weeks leading up to it were stressful; what to wear, how to have my hair etc! At first i did decide to wear a nice suitable maxi dress but then i thought everyone will be wearing something similar.. so i tried something different!

SKIRT: Primark, £10
BOOBTUBE: Topshop, £8.00
CARDIGAN: Had it ages, can't remember where from!
SHOES: Dorothy Perkins, £45
CROSS NECKLACE: Miss Selfridge, £7.50
(Also wearing Pandora bracelet & Marc Jacobs watch)

Ive got a few of these skirts that i am going to post in hauls at some point, but this one i recently discovered in primark. It comes in two colours, Coral (as seen above) and Green... I'm unsure if there are any more colours as i only saw two! The skirt is shorter at the front and longer at the back, but for some reason doesn't show up on the picture.. maybe because of how i was standing! Being quite a broad-shouldered girl, i hate to wear boob tubes as they make me so self conscious but i decided to grab a carry, put my extensions in, whack on some fake tan and just go for it.. it'd be okay after a few wines!

The skirt is very floaty which came in handy for some of the motown dance moves i was trying to pull off ha ha! Its also quite transparent, but comes with a nice little underskirt so its not too bad! I had so many compliments on my necklace throughout the night... Its a gold plated cross on a long black fabric chain... i love that it hangs so low! I discovered this from a lovely friend who had one in silver and it was a must have! I brought it from in store, but both colours are available online.

Anyway i had a fab night in the end with my lovely family.. you really can't beat family :)

Love is in the air...

What better day to return to blogging.. Valentines Day!
Ive been so busy lately i have just had to take some time out from blogging, but I'm back and hopefully for good! Sometimes I'm finding blogging a bit tedious as i don't receive much feedback so sometimes i wonder why i continue, but then i remember that i like to blog and i enjoy reading others... so instead of quitting I'm going to try harder!

Anyway on to more important things, happy Valentines! I hope you've all had a lovely day & continue to do so this evening! Ive really enjoyed myself today as I've been spoilt (we all love this) and its just been such a nice smooth day. I woke up to find the nicest presents ever! After being all happy happy over these, i painted my nails as you can see above! then i went shopping for the afternoon with my mum & spent a little too much money (I'm going to talk about these purchases in my upcoming haul). Tonight I've decided to stay in as everywhere will be busy, so i cooked a roast for my little family and now obviously I'm spending my evening relaxing & writing up this post!

Heres a few pictures of my lovely presents that i received today...

My mum is such a cutie, she brought me the card and the cuddly bear which is on the first picture above.. she never fails each year; she even made me egg on toast for breakfast!!
As you can see my other lovely presents are even fabber, if thats even a word?! Im so so in love with my new Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, it is just beautiful! For any of you wanting to know where to get one if you don't fancy heading to somewhere like Manchester or Birmingham, ASOS currently have a selection online & its free delivery seen as its quite pricey! This one costs £125, & has a real leather strap... it is totally worth the money, & its gonna look even nicer in summer with a nice sun tan :)

Ive loved my Valentines this year.. Ive heard so many people moaning today about it, but at the end of the day if your in a relationship or not you can still show someone you love them be it your mum etc, at the end of the day its another day to share the love.. and moaning doesn't get anyone anywhere or make them any happier!
