Saturdays were made for shopping!

So with it being Mother's Day tomorrow I nipped into town this morning to finish getting the last bits and bobs I needed to complete my mums presents. After I had done this I had a wonder around town and found myself wandering into one of my favourite shops, Topshop!

For a while I have had my eye on a certain dress, and whilst walking around I spotted it! I decided to make the spurge and buy it as a treat for myself... why not, everyone deserves a treat once in a while don't they?

Heres a few pictures that I managed to take whilst trying it on for the correct size...

I opted to have this dress from the 'tall' section just because it was that little bit longer than the usual standard sizing. I love the back on this dress because overall it is a really casual look but the back is beautiful with the drapes! I really wanted this dress in the lighter grey colour but they didn't have any in stock so I stuck with this darker one. You can find the link to this beauty here.

When I had finished trying on my new purchase I carried on looking around the store heading towards the till. I stopped off to look at all the beautiful jewellery that they have in. Im really into choker necklaces at the minute, but I have been looking for one with a dangle/pendant attached to it. No surprise Topshop being my saviour once again I came across the perfect one!

I cannot actually find this choker on the official website to provide a link, so I have just linked to the page which contains lots of other chokers as for some reason mine does not appear on the website at the minute.

This choker has a velvet look for around the neck and is a dark black which will make it stand out. The teal flower on it is so pretty and delicate.. I think it will be a perfect match for my new dress!

Have you found any Topshop products this month that you just had to have? I am super happy with my purchases today and cannot wait to wear them!

Birthday/Wedding Celebration #OOTN

So last weekend on Saturday I was a birthday girl! Yes thats right that one time a year you get spoilt for just being born! I am now 26 years old... and feeling even older than that some days! On my birthday a friend of mine was getting married and I had been invited to their wedding reception at night. This made me happy that I was going to be apart of their special day, but at the same time it brought fear as I had no idea what to wear!
On the weeks coming unto my birthday I had searched all the high street shops and could not find anything that caught my eye. I was so stressed out but then it hit me... I decided to wear a dress that I had had brought for me a few months ago that was still brand new hanging up in my closet; I had just completely forgot that I had it! This was perfect, until I realised that I actually had no shoes to go with it, and so on my actual birthday I spent 5 hours actually looking for THE perfect shoes to match! I was so glad that I managed to find some as if I couldn't I would of had to of gone back to square one and found something different to wear!
Heres a few photos of my chosen look, please ignore my messy room.. these are just a few quick shots before I headed off to the party to I apologise for the poor quality.

1. Bodycon Dress: GLANCE - £5.00!
2. Pink Court Shoes: FAITH from DEBENHAMS - £22.50 (sale)
3. Gold Clutch Bag: MARC JACOBS - £ unknown as it was a birthday present
*Jewellery by New Look & Pandora*

1. The Dress

I absolutely love this dress, and no I haven't made a typo error above, it literally was £5.00! There has been so many of these types of dresses flying around lately in different colours and designs... but they're all the same at the end of the day when it comes to the style and shape and some were ranging from £10 to £40 that id seen. I saw this in a local shop of ours which has now unfortunately shut down and as soon as I saw the £5 sign I was sold! I love the colour of it and I love the floral pattern. I thought this was perfect for a wedding. My only worry was that it sticks to you so it shows up all your 'lumps and bumps'... but I popped it on and had a few drinks and my worries went away!

2. The Shoes

When I mentioned above that I had spent so many hours looking for some pink shoes, I literally had! I had been to so many different shoe shops and none had any in that were of any pink shade! I actually started to get upset, and I even went into one shop - found pink ones but then they didn't have my size! I eventually came across these beauties above, and they were in the sale and in a size 5! I could of jumped for joy! Debenhams was my saviour! These shoes are by Faith and were half price in the sale for £22.50. I love the deep colour of them and pink is my favourite colour so now Im happy that I actually own a pair of pink shoes!

3 & 4. The bag & the watch!

I have had this watch for over 3 years now and it was my first ever Marc Jacobs love! I love the white leather strap and the gold facia, I think it looks so rich and goes with so many different outfits. I was lucky enough to of had the gold clutch bag brought me for my birthday which I think is a perfect match for my watch! I know that the watch cost £160 but I am unsure of how much the clutch was. I cannot wait to style these again at christmas!

No outfit is complete without having lush nails... and so here was my #NOTN!

False Nails - Primark - £1.00!

Seen as these were pink they were a must have to complete my outfit, and them being glittery just sold it to me even more! I put these nails on on Saturday night and it is now Wednesday night and not one has come off! *touch wood*. I think these nails are such good quality for the price you really can't complain. You can see more of these nails in a recent post of mine here.

So there it is, my birthday/wedding outfit! Im really looking forward to styling more outfits ready for the upcoming christmas season. The thing I love most about this outfit is that it was all on a budget and doesn't brake the bank!

Have you got your party dress ready?

Oh my Style Heist!

So if you saw my previous post, you will know I have been eagerly awaiting a little something from Style Heist- if you haven't you can find this post here.
Basically the lovely's from Style Heist ran a competition, and I entered- its as simple as that! I never win anything; NEVER, but I was lucky this time around!

I have been so excited to see my winning prize, which is a beautiful dress!
Heres a few pictures *be warned, pictures contain very beautiful dress!*

So here we have it, the beautiful 'Jessica Dress'.
You can view this dress online by clicking here or alternatively you can go straight to the Style Heist website!

I am so so in love with this dress, the colour is absolutely beautiful and I just cannot wait to style it! Heres a few more pictures for you to indulge in.

This gorgeous 'Jessica Dress' is available for just £21.95, such a bargain!
As mentioned above my favourite thing about this dress is the colour; the blues and whites just mix so well. I also love that it has a pure white peter pan collar, and white cuffed 3/4 sleeves… it just adds to the effect making the dress even more special!
The dress is a "Sam Faiers Inspired Dress', "sits above the knee' and is "95% Polyester 5% Elastane" (product description taken from Style Heist online)
I am usually a size 10 but like most of us I worry about my lumps and bombs showing, and so I was worried about what size to choose when I won this dress. I chose a size 12 so that it wouldn't be skin tight, and as I've tried it on it feels perfect. Its not too tight but not baggy and it is just so comfortable!

I cannot wait to go out and wear this dress so that I can style it! Please keep checking back for future posts featuring this dress and how I wear it.

Style Heist often run competitions, so be sure to check them out. They have some fabulous pieces online too- You can find out more about them by clicking any of the following links:
or by going to StyleHeist.co.uk

I am so thankful to Style Heist for my win, its made me one very happy girl and who knows; next time it could be you!

5. Embellished Cut Out Dress by Rare, Topshop £22.00 (sale, was £55.00)
This dress is gorgeous and such a bargin, but as it is in the sale its only available in size 14 which is a little too big for me which is a gutting! This anklet just screams out summer to me. I can imagine it on my ankle as I'm sat on a boat cruising the river on holiday abroad... keep wishing nat ay! Such pretty colours, i can't wait to get one!

These are the things I've got my eye on at the moment.. Topshop always seems to have my wages but can you blame me with the gorge stuff they keep bringing out :) What do you have your eye on??
