Estee Lauder Love, my 8 free samples!

So as promised here is my post talking about all the lovely freebies I currently got from purchasing two items from the Estee Lauder range at Boots recently. You can find my post about how I got this offer here. To summarise, I recently went to Boots and they had a fantastic offer on Estee Lauder products. If you brought two products from Estee Lauder; one being foundation or skincare, then you got a makeup bag full of free goodies!

My chosen products were the following:

I was matched to this foundation in shade 2C3 Fresco which is such a lovely natural colour.

I was also helped to choose this shade to add a little bit more colour to my face as I don't like to be too pale… choosing shade 4W3 Henna.

The lady in Boots was so helpful and they give you a mini sample bottle to try which lasted me a week, and after using that up if I didn't think the colour was the right shade for me I could take it back and change it and be re-matched again which I think is really good, especially for the cost of the products… Its letting you be absolutely sure with your purchases! I have tried both of the above and I am so happy with the results. Both claim to stay on throughout the day even when sweating etc and to be waterproof, and to what I have experienced so far they do the job! Whenever I do my makeup at 6.30-am every day I have been coming home and my makeup seems to be just as good as when I have first applied it!

So after being matched to the above, what did I get inside my beautiful free Estee Lauder makeup bag??? Obviously to start with I got the makeup bag above! It is so so beautiful and is of a rich navy blue & purple shade! It feels like silk and is quite spacious; just what every girl needs! When I actually opened the zip and saw the amount of products inside for free I was so shocked as I expected there to be 1 or 2 items, not 8! Such a good deal! Onto whats inside…

This mascara claims to "Lift each lash with big, bold, weightless volume" and "Lifts and plumps the look of even sparse lashes into big, lush lashes that are all lightness and flirtatious curl".

This is an 'advanced Multi- Protection Anti-Oxidant cream and it claims to "defend against-and diminish-the appearance of signs of premature ageing." The Super Anti-Oxidant Complex DayWear helps to "safeguard skin with advanced broad-spectrum sunscreen and our best UVA defense.'' It also "reduces the appearance of first signs of ageing, like dullness and fine, dry lines."

This claims too "Quickly and gently removes all makeup, even longwear and waterproof formulas." It has a "unique water-based formula [and]r efreshes with a crisp citrus scent." It also claims that it "Rinses away easily and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth with no greasy afterfeel or oily residue."

Ive heard lots of good things about this product already even though I haven't yet tried it to see!. It claims too address "the appearance of all key signs of visible ageing, with innovative technology for more comprehensive and precise night-time renewal.' A few more points are below:
''Lines and wrinkles look significantly reduced. More than 75% of women felt their skin looked more youthful… Skin feels smoother, hydrated, stronger. 82% of women felt their skin was immediately hydrated… Skin looks younger, radiant, more translucent and even toned. 83% of women felt their skin looked healthier, fresher, more rested… Effective for all ethnicities."

This lipstick came in the shade  'Rebellious Rose'. Being a girly girl I am usually into my pink coloured lipsticks but I absolutely love this shade as it is so natural to the lips and gives such a nice look. It also stays on quite a while too!

Then lastly….

I was so happy when I saw these little samples of perfume as my mum loves quite a few of theirs so Im always smelling them, but I had never tried this one and it honestly smells so so lovely! You get two of the testers on the picture below in the box but I used one straight away as I just loved the smell!

So there you have it, my 8 freebies (9 including the makeup bag) from purchasing some Estee Lauder goodies! Im so so chuffed with all my items and the ones mentioned above that I haven't made a personal comment too I haven't yet had chance to try. If your interested in this deal get down to your local Boots asap as I assume the offer is still currently on! To think that you get 8 samples of Estee Lauder products that when brought in real life in full sizes cost over £200 and your getting a snippet for free its just such a good deal.. even after spending almost £62 on two items to get the deal!

Do you use any Estee Lauder products? What are your thoughts?

My latest trip to Boots-Estee Lauder Love

Hello everyone, I hope your all well! Im very much aware that this is my first post in quite some  time but everything has been so hectic back at home. Anyway I won't bore you with my life stories; I'll get straight onto it!
For some time now I have been fed up with my foundation. I usually use Mac but my skin has been so dry from it recently I wanted to try something different. For a while I have seen many people uploading photos on Instagram wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and I have always wanted to try it. The only thing that had been putting me off was the price as id heard that it was quite costly. What do you think about foundations? Do you tend to use the high street brands, or the more recent and more expensive brands such as Mac and Estee Lauder? After many thoughts towards the end of September I decided to ask a friend of mine who also uses this double wear foundation what she thought. She told me that she loved the foundation and that I should definatley try it, but to hold back from buying as at the beginning of October Boots were doing an offer on Estee Lauder, so I did just that!
Last weekend I decided to take a trip into town and the first place I headed for; you got it … was Boots! I went straight to the counter and there was a lovely lady who helped me make my purchases. The offer that was currently on was buy two Estee Lauder products (*one to be foundation or skincare product) and receive a complementary makeup back full of free little samples!*) I explained to the lady that I didn't know what shade I would need in the foundation etc, and she was so helpful! She took off all my makeup and showed me different shades of the foundation I had in mind, and then completed my look by finishing off my makeup using powders and blushers.

My chosen products to receive these fabulous gifts were:

Due to purchasing the above two products I was able to get all those lovely goodies in the photo for free! I was so chuffed and I love them all, especially the beautiful makeup bag! Please look out for my next post which will be a detailed post of each product I received, and what I think so far about the foundations including which shades I chose!

Whats in my makeup bag...

So, i recently did a 'whats in my bag' post which you can find here if you haven't already seen it. It was quite a big hit in terms of the amount of people who read the post, so i thought why not do a 'whats in my makeup bag' post for you all!
Now i have 3 different makeup bags, and i use bits and bobs out of all of them its just i like to keep my makeup together in terms of newness and oldness. I also have a little metal vanity box full of makeup, but for this post I'm just going to show you the makeup i use on a day to day basis... all the others i will leave for a makeup collection post. Im terrible when it comes to makeup bags as i am always buying them... theres some real pretty ones out there! But for the time being this is the one I'm currently using...
This makeup bag was from Superdrug, i think it was like £3.99? something like that! Its really cute, and obviously pink! Now onto whats inside...

As mentioned above, this is just my day to day makeup; i apologise for them being a tad dirty, my makeup bag needs a good clean! All the things here are just basis makeup.

  • Sigma makeup brush; I won this of a blog competition... you can find my review and where to be it here

  • L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfection Foundation (Golden Beige, 140), Superdrug £12.99... You can find my review here and here
  • Barry M Intense Black Mascara, 3 in 1, £6.19... You can find my love for Barry M here and here AND here
  • Collection 2000 Collagen Curl Mascara... I picked this up from Tesco in the sale for £1!

Re. Foundation Blues...

If you have read my recent blogs then you will know all about my new foundation purchase... if not please find it here :)
As promised I said I would let you all know how I got on with this Loreal Infallible make-up.... Two words, love it! It has a perfect coverage and is so soft to the skin. The shade that I brought (140 Golden Beige) totally matched my skin complexion, and it just looks really nice. I would not say that it has a '16 Hour' wear, as I still find after a busy day at work, it does not stay on as good as it is when its first put on... BUT it does not come off altogether like most foundations do!
Overall I would rate this product maybe an 7/10... as it is quite pricey.

Whats your favourite foundation? xxxxx

Foundation blues.

I don't know if it is just me, but i get really tired of wearing the same foundation, especially if it does not seem to be doing it's job. I've been looking at quite a few foundations, & none particularly caught me eye. My lovely friend recommended me this one that I am about to show you all as she uses it most days. I'm always keen to try out things that i seen or heard are good and so following this i popped to Superdrug & brought myself some... & here it is....

It is Loreal's 'Infallible make-up'. It states that it is 'Lasting Perfecting Foundation' and it 'fights the signs of make-up meltdown... 16H... All day radiance, Non-Transfer'
I picked this up for £12.99, and it is a 30ml bottle. I have never used any of the Loreal make-up products before, and i am yet to use it properly so i do not know what it is like myself still. It is very pricey for make-up, but i suppose if you want a good/decent foundation then you have to pay the price. I tried to do a swatch test for you but you couldn't really see anything on the photo as the shade i have had it in is a very good match to my own skin colour. There were lots of different shades to choose from, but the shade i had is 140 Golden Beige. When i tried a little bit of this foundation on my hand i fell in love with it instantly. It has an amazing smell to it, although i can't quite explain what the smell is like, it is just so so nice!
The information on the back of the bottle states 'Foundation with Co-Resistium technology & Hydra-Luminous Complex... Result: a luminous complexion, looks freshly applied all day long. Lasts up to 16 hours'
As i mentioned earlier i am yet to try this product as with it being so expensive i do not just want to use it as an every day foundation when i don't really need to be wearing it.
I will blog as soon as i have tried & tested it, but for now i just wanted to let you all know about it :)

Do you use any Loreal products? xxxx
